A riser set is what is used to make an entrance opening for your timber hive.
It also provides a little extra height for your hive too.

Attach the 2 long sides and 1 short side to the bottom board. You can do this with staples, nails, screws etc.
With the other short piece, cut in half. Then cut off 4cm on each side.
Attach the cut pieces, leaving a gap in the middle to create your entrance.
Then paint bottom board with 2 coats.
Then attach completed base to honey super to create your brood box.
